The method involves manufacturing the contact piece (12), e.g. by stamping it out of a sheet material, placing the contact piece on the contact bearer (10) and welding the contact piece to the bearer with a pulse welding technique. The contact piece has a recess of inner diameter equal to the outer diameter of the bearer.
