Process to enhance the quality of a bulk solid dispenses with mixer bed, mobile bulk discharge chute and bulk pick-up unit

In a process to improve the quality of a bulk solid, the material is sorted into different grades and the end-product is then achieved by mixing given proportions of selected grades. The decision is first made as to the required quality of the end product, and measurements are taken of the quality of the incoming raw material which is sorted into a first batch which meets or exceeds the minimum requirements, and a second batch which does not. The two batches are held in intermediate storage units upon which quality information is maintained. A lower threshold value is calculated for unsuitable material. Material is then drawn as required from the intermediate storage units and sub-threshold material is rejected. The mixing ratio for the required end-product is then calculated and the mass flow of the combining flows is regulated to achieve the result. The product is then loaded for transport.
