The heat converter has an annular cylindrical transducer element (5) with a diameter less than 0.1 mm of piezoelectric material covered by a gas-tight membrane (6). The hollow volume bounding the element are evacuated, the cylindrical element is deformed by the fluctuating gas pressure, enabling an a.c. voltage to be tapped from the end of the piezoelectric element for conversion into heat or a d.c voltage.
