The balloon catheter (1) has a closed point (7) at the far end (2). The side walls (5) of the catheter tube (4) cover one channel (6) through it, to link the two ends (2,3) of the catheter. At least one side opening (13) is through the side wall (5) where the channel opens (8) near the catheter tip (7). A second channel is within the catheter side walls (5), through the catheter tube (4) between its ends (2,3). A balloon (10) to hold the catheter in place is at a section next to the channel opening section (8), attached to the outer side (5), to be inflated by a fluid through the second channel. An anti-kink unit (11) stabilizes the opening zone (8) of the catheter (1) against kinking. The balloon (10) is of a stretch material, such as latex.
