The security seal is an injection moulded part of poorly adhesive plastic such as polyethylene and has a seal body (PK) containing a recess (AU), which evolves into a flat plate (PL) acting as an information carrier for an impression, adhesive, embossment and similar. To the plate connects via a pliable rib (ST) a curved connecting member (ST), at the free end of which remote from the plate an insert head is located (EK). The connecting member can be grooved into a grip section (GR).
