Device in which visual stimuli are displayed on a screen along preset measurement vectors. The stimuli that can be seen by a patient are recorded along corresponding paths and from the recorded paths an overall sight field (44, 45) is determined. By using reaction time measurement vectors of a sufficient size and density reaction time measurement vectors can be determined and a reaction time correction made. An Independent claim is made for a method for determining the field of vision of a patient.
