The system has a coolant or solvent circuit, a heater, absorber, rectification device, evaporator, heat exchanger, coolant or solvent reservoir, condenser for ammonia vapor and a pressure equalizing carrier gas in the coolant or solvent circuit. The condenser and/or a balancing chamber is filled with carrier gas and a small ammonia component at the start of the circuit. The carrier gas is replaced with ammonia vapor during the process. The system has a coolant or solvent circuit, a heater, an absorber, a rectification device, an evaporator, a gas-gas heat exchanger, a reservoir for coolant or solvent, a condenser for ammonia vapor and a pressure equalizing carrier gas, especially helium, in the coolant or solvent circuit. The condenser and/or a balancing chamber (3) connected to it is filled with carrier gas and a small ammonia component at the start of the circuit and the carrier gas filling is replaced with ammonia vapor as the process proceeds. -
