Starter control method for automobile i.c. engine with start-stop operation has starter drive train control evaluating operating parameters for providing required setting values for starter components

The starter control method uses a drive train control (26) with evaluation of the operating parameters of the i.c. engine, e.g. the camshaft and crankshaft angles and the operating parameters of the components of the starter device, for providing required values for setting devices for adjusting the starter device components. An Independent claim for a starter device for an i.c. engine is also included.
