The holder has a microphone carrier (12) mounted in the vehicle that holds the microphone in an operating position close to the head of the telephone user. The microphone carrier is joined to a motor vehicle safety belt (10) so that when the belt is put on, the microphone (14) is moved into the neck/shoulder region.
