Estimation of heart movement by using a computer tomography device with a sequence of CT scans being analyzed to remove data relating to non-moving image areas and leave heart movement data, obviating the need for an ECG scanner

Estimation method has the following steps: scanning of a patient using a CT imaging system, for collection of associated data records, analysis of the data sets to remove data from overlapping, non-moving areas and estimation of heart movement from the resulting remaining data records. An Independent claim is made for a computer tomography imaging system that is able to estimate heart movements.
