METHOD FOR EVALUATING A SEISMIC SURVEY ON AN EARTH SEISMIC PROSPECTION AREA

P A planned survey includes the use of several lines of receiver stations (22) within the scope of the survey. The latter is divided into a number of "blocks" (34) of suitable shape and size, one side of which is equal to half the spacing of the receivers. The data from the series of fire and reception positions are analyzed and all fire-reception pairs have a common classification point assigned to the block in which this point is located. The data within each block is analyzed to provide a quality factor for the adequacy of the sampling for each block. These quality factors are displayed in color to show the sampling faults.
