The retractable tail lift consists of a platform (3), which is vertically displaced by a lifting mechanism consisting of two arms (4, 5), which oscillate in parallel around fixed pivots (6, 6'), following the path of a deformable parallelogram, by a jack (7). The whole mechanism is mounted on a carriage (15), which is designed to be displaced under the vehicle floor (1), by means of drive and guide elements, into the retracted position.
