PURPOSE: To preclude the occurrence of deflected or undischarged action of discharge ink due to unnecessary ink clung to the discharge opening surface by providing a water repelling region in close proximity to a discharge opening, and also providing a hydrophilic area in a belt-like manner on the region remote from the discharge opening at a predetermined distance, and further providing hydrophilic region in a scattered manner except the water repelling region in the vicinity of the discharge opening. ;CONSTITUTION: The pattern of a hydrophilic region has groove-like hydrophilic regions 5 on both the sides of a discharge opening 4 provided ranging over the width I of a discharge board 1 in parallel with the discharge opening arranging direction of a region remote from the discharge opening 4 at a predetermined distance, and provided in a belt-like manner at both the sides of the discharge opening 4.
