PURPOSE: To provide an apparatus and process for dyeing a cloth with unlevel dyed pattern having some regularity, distinct form and high commercial value. ;CONSTITUTION: This dyeing machine is provided with a heating bath 4 for holding a thermal medium 9 and a dyeing tank 5 placed in the heating bath 4. The heating bath 4 is furnished with a heating means 8 to heat and circulate the thermal medium. A dyeing liquid 13 in the dyeing tank 5 is heated with the heated thermal medium 9 to effect the dyeing of a cloth 12 placed in the dyeing tank 5. The dyeing tank 5 has a hollow tube 11 extending in the axial direction and having an opening at the bottom of the dyeing tank 5. The dyeing liquid 13 in the dyeing tank is uniformly heated by the convection flow of the thermal medium 9 in the hollow tube 11 and the convection flow of the thermal medium 9 flowing on the outer circumference of the dyeing tank 5. In the dyeing of a cloth, the cloth 12 is stuffed in the dyeing tank 5, the dyeing tank 5 is charged with the dyeing liquid 13 and placed in the heating bath 4, the thermal medium 9 is heated with the heating means 8 to uniformly heat the dyeing liquid and the liquid is maintained at the temperature for a prescribed period.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1994,JPO&Japio
