PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve base isolation constructing work of an existing building even on slope ground, soft ground, or the like, in order to take countermeasures against an earthquake during execution of the base isolation constructing work, to dispense with a large-scale reaction wall, a wale, etc., and to further dispense with steel pipe piles, a hydraulic jack, etc., for temporary reception, to thereby cut construction costs and shorten a construction period.;SOLUTION: When a base isolating apparatus is set below a foundation of the existing building, a new pressure bearing board 3 is driven below an existing footing beam 1, and the new pressure bearing board 3 and a reinforced footing beam 4 are combined together by means of an earthquake resistant member 6 (formed of steel reinforced concrete, steel encased reinforced concrete, or steel frame) to resist a horizontal force, whereby the horizontal force in the event of an earthquake can be processed within the existing building. Further, the earthquake resistant member 6 is arranged in the vicinity of the foundation 1, whereby the member serves as a temporary receiving member, as well.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
