PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equipment for culturing a red nonsulfur bacterium, capable of efficiently producing an aqueous solution containing the red nonsulfur bacterium. ;SOLUTION: This equipment for culturing the red nonsulfur bacterium is equipped with an organic acid formation tank for forming a volatile lower fatty acid from a high- concentration organic aqueous solution and a culture tank for culturing the red nonsulfur bacterium by using the volatile lower fatty acid as a substrate formed in the organic acid formation tank. The equipment is provided with a waste liquor supply means for supplying the high-concentration organic aqueous solution to the organic acid formation tank, a means for removing a smell of the organic acid formation tank, capable of removing a smell occurring in the organic acid formation tank, an organic acid supply means for supplying an aqueous solution containing the volatile lower fatty acid formed in the organic acid formation tank, an organic acid dilution means for diluting the volatile lower fatty acid supplied to the culture tank, an oxygen supply means for maintaining the culture tank in an aerobic atmosphere, a culture tank smell removing means for removing a smell occurring in the culture tank and a bacterium supply means for supplying the aqueous solution containing the red nonsulfur bacterium proliferated in the culture tank to a demand side.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
