PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shopping bag and a method for delivering commodities by using the shopping bag by which time and labor for transferring the commodities after accounts are settled at a register from a shopping basket for the use in a store to a takeout bag made of a synthetic resin and which can contribute to campaigns for resource saving and recycling by providing a sufficient motivation for suppressing use of disposable takeout bags.;SOLUTION: In the shopping bag 1 provided with a bag body 2 for storing articles provided with an opening part 23 on the top end and grips 3 disposed on the bag body 2, the bag body 2 has a larger depth than the depth of the shopping basket (a) for the use in the store provided in a store such as a supermarket. The opening part 23 of the bag body 2 is larger than the opening part 23 on the top part of the shopping basket a for the use in the store.
