PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a model experiment method of tunnel pressure wave that exactly simulates a semi-infinitely long or infinitely long tunnel without inlet or outlet at low cost when an experiment is performed using a model tunnel with relatively short total length and allows the experiment under an ideal condition corresponding to an experiment's purpose.;SOLUTION: In the model experiment method related to pressure wave inside and outside the tunnel, when the experiment is performed using the model tunnel 11 with short total length, a slit 12 is formed in the side surface of the inlet of the tunnel 11, a pressure gauge 4 and a microphone 5 are disposed in the tunnel 11 and at the outlet of the tunnel 11, respectively, and influence of the pressure wave formed at the inlet of the tunnel in the rushing time of a train is reduced, thereby easily simulating the semi-infinitely long tunnel without inlet.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
