PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exclusive controller, a method of exclusive control, and a program, used for common resources, capable of enhancing the entire processing efficiency of a system, preventing overload without prolonging time responing to commands received from hosts, and sequentially processing the received commands.;SOLUTION: This exclusive controller 1 has a command reception part 3 for receiving commands from the hosts 2, a command queue 4 for temporarily queuing (stacking) the commands received by the reception part 3, a command- processing part 5 for sequentially fetching and processing the commands queued by the command queue 4, a counter 6 for counting by adding up to a count value each time a command is fetched from the command queue 4 by the processing part 5, and a counter-clearing part 7 for initializing the count value counted by the counter 6 at prescribed time intervals.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
