PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the possibility of being trapped by a local solution and to efficiently calculate the optimum solution of excellent quality at high speed in an optimization method using a genetic algorithm. SOLUTION: In an optimization system calculating the optimum solution suited to evaluation conditions for which a plurality of conditions are combined by using the genetic algorithm, a GA engine 1 outputting the candidates of the solution suited to individually set evaluation conditions as evolution individual groups PGn (n=1 to N) on the basis of the genetic algorithm is provided in a plurality of stages from a low order to a high order. An individual immigration control part 2 moves a part of the evolution individual groups PGn and PGn-1 between the evolution individual group PGn on a low order side and the evolution individual group PGn+1 on a high order side. A convergence judgment part 3 judges the convergence of optimization on the basis of the evolution individual group PGN of the GA engine of the highest order. For the evaluation condition set in each stage, the conditions are added stepwise from the low order to the high order.
