PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing at low cost an agricultural/horticultural antifogging synthetic resin film unlimited in width, capable of prolonging the durability of the antifogging film, and to provide a machine for producing the above film. SOLUTION: This method for producing an agricultural/horticultural antifogging synthetic resin film comprises activating the surface of a synthetic resin film(F) by a diluted fluorine gas, coating the surface activated film with an antifogging material composed of a mixture of colloidal silica and an aqueous acrylic resin followed by drying the coated film. The machine for producing the antifogging film consists of an extruding means (10), a film surface activating means (20) where at the both sides in the cross direction of a rectangular housing (21) provided with an inlet (22) and an outlet (23) at the top and at the bottom, respectively fluorine gas feed pipes (24) and (24') are equipped at regular intervals, and an antifogging material coating means (40), a rectangular vertical-type dryer (50) with hot air distribution chambers (52) and (52') are installed on a lower part. Injection holes (54) and (54') are provided on the inner surfaces of the hot air distribution chambers inclined relative to a film traveling direction and a film winding roll (60).
