PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prepaid liquidation method and a fund management center which allow prepaid liquidation without using a prepaid card.;SOLUTION: A balance management center 5 manages a balance database 51 where a discrimination code and balance data including the balance of a fund are stored with respect to each user. A shopping site 7 acquires a discrimination code or the like from a telephone set 3 of a user at the time of a transaction and transmits transaction data including the discrimination code and the amount of money of the transaction to the balance management center 5. The balance management center 5 takes the discrimination code in transaction data as the key to specify pertinent balance data in the balance database 51 and updates the balance of this balance data on the basis of the amount of money of the transaction in transaction data.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
