PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for precisely probing clearance rate distribution and water saturation degree distribution of a rock bed and a degree of loosening and a region of loosening of the rock bed. SOLUTION: First, the specific electric resistance distribution and the seismic wave velocity distribution of the rock bed are obtained by a geotomographic means to measure the clearance rate distribution and water saturation degree distribution of the rock bed using a specific electrical resistance-seismic wave velocity model related to a clearance rate and a degree of water saturation. Secondly, the rock bed loosening degree distribution is measured from the clearance rate distribution obtained in this way, and a clearance rate in a part where the rock bed is not loosened inside it. Since the precise values of the clearance rate distribution and the water saturation degree distribution of the rock bed are obtained, they have the of possibility of being applied to many problems in ground engineering, hydraulic geological, and ground disaster prevention engineering. As examples of the application, rational designing in cut slope, tunnel excavation, and underground cavity excavation becomes possible and an index effective for designing density and depth for driving a lock bolt can be given, because the precise distribution of the degree of loosening of the rock bed can be measured.
