CAR TOPABLE CATAMARAN WITH COLLAPSIBLE FRAME AND UNIVERSAL TILLER/RUDDER-MAST DAGGERBAORD MOUNTING CONSTRUCTIONS

A catamaran has a collapsible frame and a pair ofelongated pontoons spacedly secured in collapsible frame. Theframe includes fore and aft cross bar sub-frame members and apair of longitudinally extending sub-frame members and asupport platform supported on the frame. Each saidlongitudinally extending sub-frame member being molded andincluding a pontoon embracing longitudinal cavity which is thelength of the longitudinally extending sub-frame member, and apair of parallel longitudinal edges, one longitudinal edge ateach side of the longitudinal cavity, respectively. A first ofthe longitudinal edges has a slot therein and the other of thelongitudinal edges has a shape complementary to thelongitudinal slot whereby pairs of longitudinal edges of thepair of molded sub-frame members, respectively, can interfitsuch that the concavities face each other to form a storagespace for the pontoons and the fore and aft tubular sub-framemember when not in use. The pontoon embracing cavity mayinclude an arcuate concave wall extending between said pair oflongitudinal edges. A centerboard and/or rudder mountingmember is provided.
