The invention relates to powder coat dispersions (powder slurries) that contain at least one effect-imparting pigment. The inventive powder coat dispersions are produced by adding to a powder slurry, during and/or after its production, the primary dispersion of a (meth)acrylate copolymer that contains, based on its total weight, 30 to 60 wt.- % of at least one C1-C8 alkyl(meth)acrylate monomer, 30 to 60 wt.- % of at least one vinyl-aromatic monomer and 0.5 to 10 wt.- % of a (meth)acrylic acid in liquid form or as a powder. The invention also relates to the use of the inventive powder coat dispersions.
