AN IMPROVED METHOD FOR PRODUCTION OF PORCINE CLONE EMBRYOS VIA SOMATIC CELL NUCLEAR TRANSFER

PURPOSE: A method for mass producing somatic cell nucleus-substituted cloned embryos is provided, thereby the somatic cell-substituted cloned embryos can be mass produced, so that they can be used in various applications of genetic technology. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of: removing a nucleus from the matured ovum; subjecting the nucleus-removed matured ovum and a nucleus of differentiated somatic cell to the electric shock in order to fuse them; storing the somatic cell nucleus-substituted cloned embryo for about 1 to 6 hours; and subjecting the somatic cell nucleus-substituted cloned embryos to the second electric shock to activate them, in which the somatic cell is obtained from animals except human such as pig, cow, sheep or mouse, and the electric shock is carried out by adding 120 to 150 v/mm of electric power into the somatic cell nucleus-substituted cloned embryos.
