Berkolderia vietnamiensis Capable of Degrading Parathion

摘要

PURPOSE: Provided is Burkholderia vietnamiensis which is isolated from the soil, excellently decomposes parathion and uses it as a carbon source, and is thus effectively used for the bioremediation. CONSTITUTION: Burkholderia vietnamiensisB-6 (KCTC 18041P) is isolated from the soil contaminated with parathion. It is excellent in decomposing parathion and grows using parathion as a carbon source. It can also be used for the bioremediation of waste-water containing parathion.
