PURPOSE: An apparatus for detecting a leakage of a landfill leachate is provided to detect a damage position of a water barrier layer or a water barrier material by using a conductive sensor adhered to the water barrier layer or the water barrier material. CONSTITUTION: A conductive sensor(18) is installed at a lower portion of a water barrier layer(14) or a water barrier material(16) for preventing a leakage of leachate. A positive and a negative power electrode(20,22) are located in an upper portion and a lower portion of the water barrier layer(14) or the water barrier material(16), respectively. A power supply portion(24) is used for supplying voltage to the positive and the negative power electrodes(20,22). A sense line(30) is used for transmitting a potential difference signal between the conductive sensors(18) to a division substrate(28). A sorting substrate(34) is used for fixing a relay device and a light emission diode and outputting a potential difference signal between the conductive sensors(18). The first and the second selectors transmit received drive current to the sorting substrate. A signal transfer substrate transmits an output signal of the sorting substrate to a computer(32). An A/D converter converts an analog signal of the signal transfer substrate to a digital signal. The first and the second digital output portion transmit drive current of the computer(32). A recording medium is used for detecting a damage position of the water barrier layer(14) or the water barrier material(16).
