PURPOSE: A VA- cell liquid crystal display using blend polyimide is provided to reduce a tilt angle of vertical alignment by using blended polyimide as vertical and horizontal polyimide alignment films, thereby assuring a high contrast ratio and a high speed of response time. CONSTITUTION: In a VA- cell liquid crystal display using blend polyimide, blended polyimide formed by blending homeotropic and homogeneous polyimide films according to blending rates is subject to rubbing or optical alignment, wherein the rubbing of liquid crystal of top and bottom substrates is carried out in parallel for controlling the direction of the liquid crystal on a vertical alignment film surface.
