The present invention provides a significantly effective mechanism for training athletes, particularly children, through financial games in games. Initially, each player is provided with a predetermined periodic earned income (at least initially indicating income from the athlete's vocational activity), periodic spending, and a certain amount of cash on hand. The purpose of such a game is to allow the athlete to generate more passive income than a certain percentage (e.g., 100%) of the athlete's spending. The game includes a certificate of Indicia in the financial statements associated with each player, a certificate of event set, and a certificate of a set of game events set to be pseudo-randomly sequenced to the player. It also includes a mechanism to assign specific game events to each player randomly. Game events potentially affect one or more of the players' passive income, spending, assets and liabilities, and include opportunities to generate passive income. The financial statements include a unit of passive income pertaining to the athletes involved, a periodic expenditure, a unit of assets and liabilities and, preferably, a unit of periodic earnings, each optionally modifiable visual certificate. Each visual deed has certain associated visual characteristics (e.g., shape and / or color) associated with the financial characteristics shown. The number of units of each visual deed can be optionally modified to reflect the effect of the game event.
