A METHOD FOR EVALUATING AN OCULAR OPTICAL LENS AN APPARATUS AND A MEMORY MEDIUM FOR IT

PURPOSE: A method, an apparatus and a memory medium for evaluating an ocular optical lens are provided to facilitate visual understanding of the difference in the Abbe number by displaying the difference in the Abbe number of the ocular optical lens with using the area of the region. CONSTITUTION: The Abbe number indicates the degree of chromatic aberration at each point of a spectacle lens. The Abbe number is input, and the region of comfortable vision formed with a circle, an ellipse or a closed curve(81a,82a) is obtained based on the input value. Data is obtained by using plural spectacle lenses having different Abbe numbers. On the same screen having the shape of a spectacle frame(80), plural regions for comfortable vision(81,82) marked out with the circle, the ellipse or the closed curve are formed. The difference in the vision due to the difference in the Abbe number is evaluated from the area of the region.
