PURPOSE: A timing and frequency offset estimation for OFDM(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) system using analytic tone is provided to remove the necessity of general synchronization in a frequency synchronization process and simplify the mathematical calculation required to the calculation of the frequency offset estimation value. CONSTITUTION: An ADC(Analog Digital Converter)(1) converts the inputted analog signal into a digital signal. A correlation sum calculator(3) receives a signal from the ADC(1), calculates the output received by a frequency offset estimation and analytic tone-phase compensator(5) and a frequency offset estimation value corresponding to the analytic tone. A timing offset estimator(7) receives a signal from the ADC(1), calculates independently a timing offset estimation value to the calculation of the offset estimation value by a frequency offset estimation and analytic tone-phase compensator(5). The timing offset estimation value is received by a switch(9) and the frequency offset estimation value is calculated through a single step by using a timing offset estimating value.
