Wall construction for the protection of buildings from vibration and element for the production of the wall structure

Two concrete walls (4,5) are installed both sides of an air gap and (5) arranged between the vibration source (3) and the building (2). The foot of the air gap is sealed off against water and/or ground entry and the wall sides facing the gap are deflected horizontally. The concrete elements form part of a diaphragm wall whose inserted piling walls (6) define the air gap. The air gap is formed during the pouring process by shuttering which closes off the ends of the diaphragm wall and is fixed to the end piling wall planks. Additional components include spacer bars (8) to keep the pile walls apart and secure the air gap. The shuttering extends right over the wall height ready for the concrete pouring operation etc. The shuttering is moved on to the next sector, maintaining the air gap right the way through the wall.
