The stator (9) is a demountable assembly of opposed cores, with studs and recessed grooves (6, 7). It is screwed permanently to the machine casing (8). Windings around the support ring (5) lie parallel to the opposite cores and transversely with respect to the rotor circumference. Windings lie transversely with respect to the magnetic field direction.
