The putter (WP1,WP2) has a vertical shaft (WPS) and an angled contact face (K4) in the forwards movement in the normal playing position. The contact face contacts the top half of the ball first. Preferably, the contact face is inclined at a positive angle towards the rear, with respect to the shaft. The surface of the putter head (WPK) can be used to generate forwards and upwards pressure on the ball simultaneously.
