The system transmits warning message from alarm devices to an alarm center. An alarm receiver controler evaluates alarm messages for content and the required time anticipated for warning. Addressed mobile stations or terminals send a confirmation message or acknowledgment signal to the warning receiver, which counts the number of confirmation messages or acknowledgment signals to ensure a minimum number of persons is warned. The system transmits the warning message from each alarm device to an alarm center wirelessly or via a wired connection. An alarm receiver has a controler for evaluating alarm messages for content and the required time anticipated for warning and a connected mobile device and/or radio module for automatically passing the warning to the mobile stations or user terminals of the telephone network. The addressed mobile stations or terminals send a confirmation message or acknowledgment signal to the warning receiver, which counts the number of confirmation messages or acknowledgment signals to ensure a minimum number of persons is warned.
