A method for restoring decorative masonry, e.g. monuments, uses paints prepared in various colours to match the grain colours in the natural stone. The paint is applied as speckles with a spot size similar to the grain size. The finished effect does not completely seal the surface of the stone and is not easily damaged by weathering.
