The power-and-free conveyor has two parallel rail systems, one (12) of which is constructed as a simple running track (16), and the load bearing frame (18) of the power-and-free running gear has at least two running rollers (21) on the side (23) facing the running track and with a small space in between them. The load carriers (19) are installed eccentrically between the rail systems. The running track is height adjustable at least in the region of switching points and/or in processing areas.
