Method in which online ordering of goods by a minor involves submission of an electronic signature and a certificate together with a parent or guardian's electronic signature and certificate. According to the method a pre-check stage can be carried out on the customer's computer and the order and authenticating data are then submitted to the supplying company where the order is stored in memory and the authenticating data checked. If approved, the order is processed, if not it is deleted from memory. An Independent claim is made for an extension of the method in which at the time of ordering a time stamp is assigned and in addition a order limit, in terms or amount, can be set for customers.
