A method for recording images, in particular, ir - images by means of a detector with a plurality of sensor elements, wherein each sensor element with an offset value o φ n φ for adaptation of the characteristics of the individual sensors is associated with. The individual measured values are in each case according to the offset correction, the homogeneity is subjected to testing. In the presence of at least two of the conditions a) to c), the offset value o φ n φ of the respectively tested measured value, in the following with given p φ no φ, modified. This homogeneity test comprises the steps of: dollars a a) verifying whether the measured test value p φ no φ a maximum value of the test measurement field, dollars a b) checking whether the of the amount of the deviation of the test measurement value p φ no φ of the mean value of the measuring points dollar i1 of the test measurement field via a predetermined amount of the mean value of the difference between the measuring points of the test measurement field, dollars a is c) checking whether the magnitude of the test measurement value p φ no φ of the mean value of dollars i2 of the measurement points p φ ni φ of the test measurement field is greater than the maximum difference of the measured values of the test measurement field.
