The animal stall installation has a central access path (10) between opposing rows of animal stalls (12), each used for housing a single animal, e.g. a pig, with a further path (11) for movement of the animals on either side of the central access path, provided with a door arrangement (14) at the entry to each animal stall. The door arrangement cooperates with a guidance device (14') projecting into the animal movement path, for directing the animal into the stall when the door arrangement is open.
