The invention relates to a device for measuring the core pressure of a core (13) which is arranged in a tank (9) in a power transformer. At least one clamping element (1) for pressing the sheet metal plates (2) of the core (13) is connected to a sensor arrangement (5) which delivers a signal which is proportional to the mechanical tension in the clamping element (1). Each sensor arrangement is adjusted in such a way that it corresponds with an electronic interrogation system (8) via a radio connection, located outside the tank (9).
