Method for engaging clutch in toothed wheel gears involves control measures which on reaching new speed produce tooth to gap position between primary and secondary clutch halves to release engagement operation
In a disengaged state of the clutch the speed of the primary clutch halves in drive connection with the input shaft (1) is set to the new speed. Control measures for facilitating the engagement comprise producing and/or detecting the relative angular position of tooth to gap or vice versa between the primary and secondary clutch halves (6,8 or 7,9) of the clutch and dependent on this the release of the engagement operation.
