The system has at least one infrared light source (1), at least one infrared viewer (2) for displaying 3D objects illuminated by the infrared light source and at least one infrared detector (3) for detecting a foreign infrared pulse (F) connected to a control unit (4) for controlling the infrared pulse (P) transmitted by the infrared light source. An Independent claim is also included for a method of reducing blinding of an infrared sight system by other infrared systems.
