The elastic mounting (6), especially for the suspension of a motor vehicle exhaust pipe, has a flat spring characteristic. It has a support plate (7) with a passage opening (8) to be attached to one supporting or supported component. A holding rod (9) passes through the opening, to be attached to a second component (11) at one end. A spring body (13), of an elastomer material (14), is between a washer disk (12) at one end of the rod and the support plate. A second spring body (16), of an elastomer material, is between a washer disk (15) at the other end of the rod and the support plate, so that both bodies are tensed between the washers when not under a load. The first body is stiffer than the second. The working zone (3) of the mounting is free of tension along the holding rod.
