Debugging of control programs based on compiled source code with improved debugging achieved by provision of an intermediate compiling step that can be used for debugging purposes

Device for parameterizing, projecting and commissioning of control systems and for adjusting of cyclic control programs using an editor for editing control program source code (1) and a compiler (2) for compiling the source code. The editor allows the whole or a part of the control program to be marked for debugging purposes and for use of the compiler to produce intermediate code (3) that contains debugging instrumentation. Independent claims are made for (1) an arrangement for controlling such a device and for a method using such a system. (2) a device for temporal control of a system based on a control program with a microprocessor for processing of a compiled, cyclical control program with a compiler for compiling a pre-compiled control program (3) with debugging instrumentation in the object code (5).
