Anti terrorist safety system for passenger aircraft defines forbidden airspace and takes control from pilot and turns aircraft away if boundary is approached

The aircraft (10) carries a computer programmed with a map of e.g. a city (20) or a mountain (40) which must not be approached. Points (30-35) are defined on the map and connected by straight lines to define a city boundary which must not be passed. Points (51-55) may be entered to define a volume surrounding the mountain. If the aircraft approaches any defined boundary, it is steered onto a curved course (11) which takes it well clear of the boundary.
