The power plant has a gas turbine (12) and a steam turbine (28) coupled to a steam generator (48) utilizing the waste heat provided by the exhaust gas from the gas turbine and a solar-heated steam generator (74), using a separate heat exchanger (78) for heating the solar-heated heat transfer medium via the steam turbine exhaust gas.
