A motor vehicle windscreen wiper has an adjustable wiper angle operated by a supplementary motor (40) with a crankshaft (44) whose central axis is movable between two positions. A wiper construction having an adjustable wiper angle comprises a main frame fixed to the vehicle bodywork, a wiper motor fixed to the frame and two rods (32) which transmit the motor drive to guide arms (50). Wiper arms and blades are fixed to the guide arms by turning pivots. A supplementary motor can move the central axis of a crankshaft reversibly from position C1 to C2 and there is a variable connection (30) whose ends are coupled to the crankshaft and the rod respectively. The guide arm is thus moved from P1 to P2 corresponding to the movement from C1 to C2 through the operation of the variable crankshaft.
