The protective suit encloses the whole of the body. A single slide fastener (2) extends up the back of the garment and runs into a cap (3) which surrounds the head. The cap includes an opening for the eyes, but otherwise surrounds the head. A tape (6) is attached to the slide fastener to enable the wearer to operates the full length fastening. The protective suit comprises a single garment (1) formed in one piece, enclosing the whole of the body from the legs and arms, over the trunk to the head.
